Step inside Levitate, a serene whole home renovation in Coral Gables, where lightness, calm, and intentional design come together to create a fresh start for a family ready for a new chapter. Specifically, this full interior renovation spans 8,000 square feet in the exclusive waterfront community of Gables Estates. Furthermore, the project was led by DKOR Interiors in close collaboration with CH Construction, from concept to completion.

The design concept was born from a single word: Levitate. Therefore, we left behind dark woods and heavier furniture. Instead, the home was reimagined as something airy and euphoric. We incorporated neutral tones, warm wood finishes, and a layered palette of blue, green, ochre, and soft orange. Ultimately, this approach achieved the kind of restrained elegance that defines the best interior design in Coral Gables.

Space planning was also central to this luxury home renovation in Miami. For instance, leveling the home’s sunken living room turned an unused space into a flexible family gathering area. This new zone is complete with a pool table and TV space that easily opens to the main living room or closes off with glass sliding doors.

For this blended family—a couple with five children between them, along with grandchildren—the goal was never just a beautiful home. Rather, it was about creating a sanctuary where every person had a space that felt like theirs. As an example, we designed two distinct offices reflecting the couple’s individual identities: one is moody and quiet, while the other is bright and serves as a shared creative space with her daughter.

In conclusion, every design choice came from really listening to how this family lives. As a result, this project showcases full-service residential interior design in Miami built entirely around the homeowners, not a look imposed from the outside.
