Breezy Miami Estate

In this case, this family home in the Miami Presidential Estates neighborhood needed an entire house renovation to take it from dated to dazzling. Our Miami-based interior design team created a design concept that was inspired by the movement and freshness of a crisp ocean breeze—a far cry from the mostly brown and tan decor in their home before. A chic monochromatic palette dominated by grays was the guiding light for our concept; we also added in pops of sea blues and sandy hues. Natural materials grounded the design, which paired not only style but also function for a fabulous family home.

The DKOR team provided interior design services for a complete house renovation, including the renovation of spaces such as the kitchen. As in all of our projects, our clients’ needs and tastes informed the design development, which included choosing general finishes and materials, as well as furniture and accessories selections.

The existing design of the home had started to feel a bit dated. For that reason, our clients desired a home that would feel timeless. Therefore, our design team set out to work on a home renovation that provided our clients with elegant, warm, and enduring style—all while staying on budget. To ensure we didn’t surpass the value of the home, we identified and prioritized the areas of the home that should take up more of our budget because they’ll receive the most return on investment. Throughout the design process, we used straight lines coupled with natural materials and proper proportions to stay on budget and give our clients their dream home.
