Modern Wonderland Home

Designed for a family of six from Mexico, this new 7,300 Sq. Ft home in Bal Harbour, Florida, is filled with whimsy and irreverence. Our client’s main ask was for a modern, kid-friendly aesthetic for her home’s interior design in Bal Harbour, but it also had to stand out and be extraordinary. The Florida-based DKOR Interiors design team came up with a concept that utilized color theory to evoke feelings and emotions throughout the home. Our concept, “Modern Wonderland: A Playful Contemporary Journey for All Your Senses,” called for cheerful bursts of color, bold and lively patterns, and fun all around. DKOR Interiors provided interior design and decorating services for all the living spaces and bedrooms of this residence. We worked on design development, including custom furnishings— unique furniture pieces created for the master bedroom, living room, playroom, and breakfast area and material specifications. To complete the design of the home, we selected furniture and accessories to complement the family’s existing furniture, art, and more.

As in all of our residential projects, the DKOR Interiors’ design team aims to create a home that meets the day-to-day needs as well as individual style of our clients. Our goal was to create an interior design in Bal Harbour that focused on function but didn’t skimp on modern, eclectic style. Every space was meant to serve the family’s specific needs. To accomplish this, our design team turned to creative design solutions and thoughtful space planning and material selections.

But it wasn’t all about function, our design team brought style to each of the family-friendly spaces. To bring this modern wonderland to life, out-of-the-box thinking was leveraged; our Bal Harbour interior designers played with scale, sourced eye-catching patterns, and designed to highlight contrast and unexpected elements. In the end, we were able to create a one-of-a-kind home for our clients.
