Our design adventure started when a young family contacted our empresa de diseño de interiores to create their dream home. Regardless of the beautiful architecture of their luxurious Key Biscayne residence, something was missing; it just didn’t feel like home.
We used our design concept “Nested in the midst of evergreen gardens” to guide us with the color mood and material applications for this contemporary Key Biscayne home.
In the furniture & lighting phase, we then combined this concept with inspiration from our frequent trips to Salone del Mobile Milan to curate the perfect combination of handcrafted Italian made pieces from Poliform, Minotti and Gallotti Radice for the social areas.
Awesome lighting is also a great way to incorporate your concept without it feeling so gimmicky. The Raimond suspension light & Octo pendant light were the perfect way to incorporate the “nesting” element from our concept without being so literal.
But what really makes a house a home? The small details! Placement of home décor accessories throughout a home is a KEY step in really bringing in our DKOR touch.
