With more than 20 years of experience, clients working with an interior designer at our firm have seen how thoughtful, well-executed interiors can truly enhance the quality of life for their families. Over the years, we’re often asked the same thoughtful question: How do you continue to create fresh, original designs, project after project, without repeating the same look, materials, or ideas?
The answer is simpler than it sounds. We don’t design around a fixed style. We design around people. Every home has a story before we ever put any idea into action. The way a family lives, gathers, works, rests, and grows becomes the foundation of our creative process. Instead of starting with a predetermined aesthetic, we begin understanding lifestyle, habits, and the connection our clients want to feel. That’s how new design visions keep emerging, because no two clients are the same.

Working With an Interior Designer on Multiple Projects
When a happy client returns and asks us to design a new home for them, they often wonder, ‘Will the design feel fresh and different from the previous home?’ It’s a very natural question, and sometimes a quiet concern when hiring the same interior designer again. The answer is always yes. Even when we work with the same client, no two homes should ever feel the same.
Each project represents a new chapter: a different location, architecture, lifestyle, or moment in life. Our process begins by listening closely and understanding what our clients want to achieve in this new property. Is it a second home? Are they in a different phase of their lives? We focus on how our clients live today, not how they lived before. While the relationship brings familiarity and trust, the unique story of each home shapes the design, allowing every space to feel personal, intentional, and fully aligned with the purpose and goals of that place.
A SHARED DESIGN LANGUAGE, A NEW VISION
Working with repeat clients speaks to the strength of our relationships and the care we take to make sure every client feels heard. After they see their first result, it’s clear that we not only brought to life their vision, but also included so many personal touches that make the home feel truly theirs. They trust our process, and it doesn’t matter if the new home is down the street or far away. We’ve worked in other states and even internationally to meet the needs of our clients.
To explain the process of working with an interior designer again, each second (or third, or fourth) home starts with an introduction to the new concept, and we demonstrate in detail how it is different from the previous. It’s a journey of collaboration, so clients are encouraged to contribute images they think are appropriate for their project. The main goal is to remove the fear of repetitive designs, showcase our creativity, and allow this new property to stand on its own.
Take a look at these two projects for the same clients: Coastal Florida Keys Residence y Nevada Racetrack Home. Both are luxurious, with distinctive design concepts. However, while one is bright and airy, befitting the beautiful coastal surroundings, the other is designed around the theme of racing with industrial influences and a darker palette. Both have their place in the world of our clients, a large, connected family that loves being together. Yet, they also serve very different purposes and appeal to varied sensibilities.

Set beside a private racetrack in the desert landscape of Pahrump, Nevada, this second residence was designed in collaboration with Double M Construction to celebrate our clients’ passion for cars and racing.
The concept, “Velocity Fusion,” blends the exhilaration of speed and motion with the warmth and comfort of a family retreat. We leaned fully into their vision for a racing-inspired retreat, which is designed for connection and time spent with children and grandchildren. Racing cars, helmets, and gear are interspersed throughout the zonas de estar y dormitorios to highlight some of the family’s heirlooms.

Now take a look at another beautiful home we created, which was a complete makeover in collaboration with Construcción Pinewood. We reimagined it as a serene retreat inspired by the beautiful oceanfront setting in the Florida Keys. A stark contrast to the racing theme, this home features a treehouse concept with light-filled rooms and layered soft neutrals that feel both grounding and airy. Wood floors and an emphasis on natural materials in the rugs and furnishings create a calm, organic atmosphere that suits the coastal environment perfectly. This feels like a home to relax into, whereas the Nevada property is an exciting place for the whole family to gather and watch racing on vacation.
Can you believe these two homes are for the same client? You’ll now hopefully realize that the possibilities for design are endless. Different homes mean different designs, period.
Whether you are looking to renovate, design your first home, or a second home, we are here waiting to help you make your dreams come true. Our clients have the utmost trust in our team, and we aim to always provide complete satisfaction with every home.
