Modern Coastal Miami Condo Design

Located in the Marina Palms neighborhood of Miami, this petite two-bedroom condo was a wonderful design challenge for our interior design team. Our clients, a Brazilian couple, wanted this condo to be their home away from home, specifically reflecting their colorful, vibrant lives.

With this in mind, the DKOR Interiors team dreamed up the concept of “Arrecife” or reef. But our design scheme isn’t just inspired by any old reef, we’re taking our design cues from one formed by man-made objects, like sunken ships or statues. Overall, the heart of the concept is nature flourishing amidst unnatural objects. Due to this concept, our residential team could infuse this condo design with texture, color, and otherworldly beauty.

Our design team provided decorating services for the entire apartment—bedrooms, common areas, and everywhere in between. DKOR Interiors designers thoughtfully chose not only furniture but also accessories to complement the Arrecife design concept. Additionally, we selected materials and general finishes, such as the flooring and baseboards, to revamp the condo design specifically for our clients’ style and needs.

In a small space such as this condo, we aim to create a home that feels cozy, but not cramped. We do this through both thoughtful space planning and furniture selections. Our goal for this condo design was to completely furnish the space while creating a beautiful home away from home for our clients. The design of their vacation home is meant to ensure they’re able to both unwind and enjoy the serenity the natural landscape just outside their windows offers them.

This condo featured an open-concept living, dining, and kitchen space. In addition, it includes a cozy nook that could be used either as a den or office. In such a light and bright living space, our designers wanted to give the family a cozy spot to cuddle up on movie night. So, the nook was turned into a TV den, complete with darker walls and and plush sofas.
