We love working on vacation homes, and this special project is Miami Beach luxury perfection. Our DKORistas are working their magic on this 1,800-square-foot South Beach apartment that will be transformed into a getaway for the clients, a young international family with kids.<\/p>\n

SOUTH BEACH APARTMENT – DESIGN INSPIRATION<\/h2>\n

Because of their busy lifestyle, and their search for relaxation when they come to Miami, the clients were looking for something move-in ready. That means we\u2019re taking care of everything in this remodel for them \u2014 from demolition to the selection of finishing details like dinnerware, towels, and bedding. The clients\u2019 lives revolve around their kids, so they wanted us to think about how we could create a kid-friendly environment, too. Armed with all of this intel, we\u2019ve created a beautiful luxury interior for them.<\/p>\n

CONCEPTO DE DISE\u00d1O<\/h2>\n

<\/center>The design concept of this vacation home is based on natural crystals. Because the clients feel attracted to the elegance and glamour of these natural stones we wanted to incorporate their principles throughout the apartment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Crystals inspired us in several ways as we dreamt up the perfect designs for our clients. We thought about the stone\u2019s natural conduction of light, its organic qualities and its inherent luxury, looking to translate these attributes into the spaces\u2019 ambiance.<\/p>\n

PRINCIPLES AND MATERIALITY<\/h2>\n

We grounded the design concept of this South Beach apartment in several principles: Repetition\/layers; texture; reflection\/shimmer; and abstract pattern.<\/p>\n

We utilized geometric patterns, shimmery finishes, and layers of blue hues to mimic crystals found in nature. These elements provide luxurious accents, while subdued wood tones ground the design.<\/p>\n

From the wallcovering textures to the color of marble selected, to the accessories we\u2019ll install at the end, the concept of crystal inspiration is pushed home.<\/p>\n
