What an amazing time, filled with inspiration, we had at High Point Spring Market. Walking the show, as part of the Design Bloggers Tour<\/a>, was a super fun experience! We the DKORistas<\/a>, were around here and there, uncovering all the new trends for you. \u00a0As designers, we\u2019re always eager to know which colors will be \u201cin\u201d this year. Are you curious to see which colors these are? Let\u2019s discover them together.<\/span><\/p>\n

Color Trends from High Point Spring Market<\/i><\/strong><\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

Green may have been 2017\u2019s Pantone color of the year, but it is what we are seeing at this year\u2019s HPMKT. Brands showcased either deep emerald greens, lighter sage greens or a brighter tone, almost like a forest green. Green was definitely THE<\/em> color of<\/span> High Point Furniture Market<\/a> Spring 2018.<\/p>\n

Otherwise, we noticed that brown is making a comeback! A few showrooms had walls and large pieces with a true brown color, which we hadn\u2019t seen in a while. We are still deciding if we love it… The last colors we saw at High Point Spring Market were super deep burgundy and mauve tones, which were so elegant!<\/p>\n

Let us show you in a few pictures, these new color trends, and how some brands displayed them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Adriana Hoyos<\/p>\n

We loved the deep emerald green and burgundy vignette at the <\/span>Adriana Hoyos<\/span><\/a> booth, in the IMC Interhall<\/a> show space. The two shades created an elegant color palette fit for kings! This is brand well known to our Miami clients, and we like the breath of fresh air that this curvy collection is bringing to the brand. Congratulations to Adriana Hoyos and her daughter Andrea who collaborated on the design of the collection.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunbrella<\/p>\n

At the above booth, sage green was the main color. Designer <\/span>Brian Paquette<\/span><\/a>, who presented the collection himself, stated that he was inspired by Versailles and Paris in the Winter. For <\/span>Sunbrella<\/span><\/a> he designed textiles with muted pastel colors in intricate structures. He displayed them creatively all around the booth. From the green walls to the bright yellow lampshades and the artwork: it\u2019s all Sunbrella fabrics. Everyone knows Sunbrella as an exterior performance textile, but at DKOR Interiors we often use their fabrics in interior spaces as well. We love to specify them for banquette seating, benches or playrooms for example.<\/span><\/p>\n

Century Furniture<\/p>\n

In the Century Furnitur<\/a>e\u00a0<\/span>showroom at HPMKT, the designer chose to paint a dark emerald green wall with green and added teal pops in the room. The teal brightens up the space and contrasts with the darker shade of green on the wall. In the second picture, you can see the brown tone we saw peeking here and there; it\u2019s coming back!<\/span><\/p>\n

At <\/span>\u00a0Henredon<\/a> (partnered up with Crypton<\/a>)<\/span>, they also had a space with green emerald color, but in a brighter tint here. We like how the color is applied on the smaller pieces, as accents, and picked up by the artwork on the wall!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

E.J. Victor<\/p>\n

En el <\/span>E.J. Victor <\/span><\/a>showroom, we admired the Ralph Lauren collection and loved the green room set up they had. Again, deeper emerald greens were selected here to contrast with rich wood tones and white accents to freshen up the mood. In the third picture, you will notice the deep burgundy that we loved. This tone is superbe, it adds that warmth in an overall masculine room. It\u2019s almost as if you cannot tell if it\u2019s dark mauve, dark burgundy or brown.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our very first stop at High Point Spring Market was the <\/span>Norwalk<\/span><\/a> showroom. We were attracted by all the colors. In the front, the green and dusty pink vignette stole our hearts. We loved the green side chair and the round pink throw pillow.<\/span><\/p>\n
