Here’s another project in our latest blog series that takes you behind the scenes with the detailed process of how our interiorismo firm transforms our clients’ commercial and residential spaces.
Earlier this year, a health center located in Aventura, Florida came to DKOR Interiors requiring a space where customers would immediately feel soothed and reassured in a professional and welcoming medical setting. Through our initial meetings and discussions, we decided on a modern Scandinavian interiorismo inspiration, which would be characterized by simplicity, minimalism and functionality.
Scandinavian design is world renowned for its melding of warmth, elegance and utility, which we believed would be ideal for this kind of professional office.
Please take a look at this interiorismo project’s Concept Presentation. We proposed to incorporate geometrical shapes, such as those seen in the photographs of homes with the crisp triangular forms. Also, we saw this office with lots of sleek lines and stark contrasts, such as the photograph with the wooden slats that create a bold, linear arrangement.
The color palette we chose reflected the overall warmth and the idea of calm we hoped to achieve with this modern transformation. We matched a dark base of black and dark grey with a bright accent of lime green and a light grey. This contrasting selection would create the sophisticated yet inviting interior space we hoped to convey.
In terms of materiality, we proposed the natural element of wood, especially with those seen in the wooden slat structures, and the earthiness of plants, which give off the all important oxygen we need to live, brighten your mood and help you de-stress.
