Let’s talk about design trends! If there is one thing we noticed at this year Spring High Point Market is that curves are EVERYWHERE. You can see this home decor trend on furniture pieces like rounded chairs, oval tables and most importantly sofas. Get ready for it, because you will want it to!

Yes we know, curved sofas are design icons right out of the 60’s / 70’s. You are not ready to commit and bring it back into your living room today. We understand, but the way these pieces are showcased now, with contemporary fabrics and details, it has us thinking that we need to follow this home decor trend and have a curved sofa in one of our home decorating projects ASAP!

It is not only the sofas though, but also tables, chairs and accent pieces that we found to have a lot of “curviness”. Furniture designers today are making more organic corners and rounded backs. This to, again, speak to this new transitional style, inspired by lines of classical pieces.

Take a look at these furnishings we loved at High Point Market and spot the home decor trend we are talking about. Especially, look at how they were complemented by other furnishings to make the overall vignette feel contemporary. They don’t look vintage at all, right?

So, have we convinced you yet, will you be embracing the “curve craze” home decor trend? Did you notice all the curves at this 2018 edition of High Point Market? We feel like it really is a re-invention of pieces that we have seen in the past, but with either a touch of industrialism or minimalism to make it feel sleek and work in today’s most contemporary interiors.
