Maybe you’ve seen the “Shortlisted Blog” badge on our site—We’re so proud to show it off because our Blog DKOR Living was shortlisted for Amara Interior Blog Awards 2017 in the Best Luxury Blog category. (Eek!)

Amara is a U.K.-based online housewares retailer that’s all about bringing designer style and expert knowledge to every home. With their Interior Blogs Awards, they celebrate the most original and respected bloggers in the interior blogging industry. And this year, we were among the group being celebrated.

But we couldn’t have done it without you, our virtual DKORistas! We can’t thank each and every one of you enough for reading our posts, supporting us, and voting for us. When we introduced our revamped DKOR Living Blog last year, we wanted to provide interior design inspiration for our readers. And it was such a delightful surprise to know that our followers are loving our efforts to inform and inspire.

We were selected out of nearly 800 nominated blogs as one of the top six in our category. Just being included in this group was a true honor for us. Thank you to a very special DKORista who represented us at the awards ceremony at London’s Design Museum last month, our Miami design bloggers had the opportunity to be part of the Amara design event. Here’s a wrap up of the event!

The Location

On Wednesday, October 25th, industry experts, sponsors, and design enthusiasts gathered to recognize the top 14 design blogs that would be named the best in their individual categories. It started with canapés and cocktails welcome that moved into a networking session (a.k.a. time for all of the bloggers to chat and catch up) and finished with the awards ceremony, held in the Bakala Auditorium.

The Winners

Although we didn’t win, we were super proud to be on Amara’s top interior design blogs list. We want to congratulate all the shortlisted blogs, big winners, and the people behind them. It is awesome to see how super-talented people are creating a community and sharing design inspiration around the world. Passions connect people, and it’s beautiful when passion and design come together.

The blogs that won are a testament to their creator’s inspiring talent, as their knowledge of the interior industry constantly provides us with cutting edge insights into this world.
