From the beginning, we focused on understanding their goals and vision, then designed a plan that would bring it to life. With our home decoration services, we helped transform their existing space,making the most of the good bones that were already there, while adding layers of style, comfort, and personality. The result is a home that not only tells their family’s story today, but also has room to grow with them in the years ahead.

When this young family purchased their forever home, they knew they wanted something truly special, something that reflected who they were now and who they were growing into as a family. The structure of the home was great, but it didn’t feel connected to them. The existing decor didn’t speak to their style or the life they wanted to build there.

That’s when they reached out to us. Their goal wasn’t to make big structural changes, but to create a thoughtful, cohesive design that could transform the space while making the most of what was already there.

Interior Decorating Services – Working in Phases

As part of our home decorating services, we provide a detailed budget that covers everything the family will invest in their project. For this home, we created a phased budget, allowing us to tackle different areas based on priority while working toward a complete, cohesive transformation of the entire space.

We begin every project by developing a concept that connects all of the design elements, no matter which phase we’re working on. This concept serves as the guiding thread for every room, ensuring that each space feels intentional and harmonized with the rest of the home. By thoughtfully using contrast, rhythm, and layers, and emphasizing classical lines, we were able to design a home with the perfect balance of modern and transitional elements for this family.

Results from Our Residential Home Decoration Projects

The result is a home that feels purposeful, welcoming, and full of personality. Every corner tells a part of the family’s story, while offering the flexibility and functionality they need as they grow together. It’s a space designed not just for today, but for the many chapters their family will share in the years to come.

The before-and-after transformation of this home is truly impactful. You can see how the space was being used and how adding thoughtful design details such as wallpaper, carpentry, paint, furniture, and accessories, completely changed the feel.

Starting with the entry foyer, we introduced a floor-to-ceiling mirror and a wallpaper feature to create a striking first impression. We also added custom furniture that subtly divides the foyer from the living room, giving the space both function and flow.

In the living room, furniture placement makes all the difference, while paneling on the walls helps visually connect the living and dining areas. The dining room received fresh lighting and new furniture. Next to it is a cozy new breakfast bench area in front of the kitchen. These design choices work together to make the home feel complete and intentional.

The kids’ bedrooms are spaces we particularly love. Each one is playful and reflects the personality of the children, creating spaces that are both fun and functional. Early in the project, we also designed a playroom that doubled as a family TV room. Years later, as the kids grew, we helped the family convert this space into a multifunctional family area and home theater, showing how thoughtful design can evolve with the family’s needs.

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO WORK WITH DKOR?

We reached out to DKOR because I had always been following them on Instagram and have always loved their style. When I met Ivonne, it was a perfect match. Here we are, I don’t know how many years later, working with them through different phases. This is our final home, and we wanted to make it practical. We love entertaining and, with three boys, we wanted a home where our kids actually want to be. We reached out, and it has just been a wonderful experience every step of the way.

WHAT YOUR FAVORITE SPACE OF YOUR HOME?

This was one of our favorite phases because it was our bedroom. It feels so cozy and homey, which was our goal. We wanted a little bit of a hotel vibe, we just wanted it to feel like an oasis, a place where we can relax. DKOR really understood our needs, and the tone they created feels very homey.
