When our Miami interior designers take on a kids’ bathroom project, their goal is to create bathroom ideas that are fun, user-friendly, and well as safe. They always take into consideration the key elements of bathroom design, just as they would for any other bathroom in the home.

Designing a children’s bathroom should be about making it fun as well as practical. We like to incorporate bright and cheerful details along with functionality, like we do when we design their bedrooms as well.

In this blog, we share some of the children’s bathroom ideas we designed that feature colorful and cheerful designs, but also include certain elements to address the specific needs of the little ones. These designs can work for any member of the family, maintaining a balance that takes into consideration a growing family’s needs.

COLORFUL SHARED KIDS’ BATHROOM IDEA

Our Miami design team used vibrant colors and bold patterns to create this children’s bathroom without going overboard. Its understated white walls and vanity are enlivened by a multi-colored mirror wall, and a bright yellow floor with an eye-popping geometric pattern.

We created the double-sink bathroom vanity to accommodate more than one child using the bathroom at the same time. It also provides much-needed storage space and plenty of room for two kids to get ready for school in the morning at the same time.

We added a touch of playfulness by using lively bath accessories such as the rug and towels featured in this photo. It’s a great technique for kids’ bathroom design, because these items can be changed frequently, without costing a lot of money.

MULTI-TONAL PASTEL KIDS’ BATHROOM

We used a muted color scheme in this children’s bathroom. For that reason, it could double as a space that could also be used by guests. The half-tiled wall with pastel tones makes a playful statement without seeming overly childish.

Our design team added details such the Gia Bell pendant light by Avram Rusu to create a unique look that captures the imagination.

To make the most of the space and add more storage options, open shelves were added on top of the toilet area. We chose stylish accessories that appeal to both children and grown-ups alike.

A TIMELESS KIDS’ BATHROOM DESIGN

This timeless kids bathroom idea is a great example of a bathroom that your kids won’t outgrow by using the right material selections. For a timeless design that will endure for years to come, we opted for a neutral color palette to create a chic and clean look that remains appealing, even as your kids’ tastes change.

CREATIVE KIDS’ BATHROOM DESIGN

In this stylish bathroom, where white dominates, we added just a splash of color rather than go all out. We used accent tiles to emphasize the mirror and sink areas.
