Fort Lauderdale Condo Building Renovation

Our Miami-based commercial design team, in collaboration with CH Construction Group, is leading the renovation of the Ocean Summit Residential condo building in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This project focuses on revitalizing a historic building while improving its functionality and enhancing the living experience for residents by modernizing its amenities for today’s needs.

The Ocean Summit building was originally designed in the mid-1960s by the well-known architect Charles F. McKirahan, and it features the classic Mid-Century Modern style. Therefore, for the renovation, we were inspired by the building’s rich history and its close connection to the ocean. For that reason, we carefully selected colors and patterns that reflect the coastal surroundings, creating a space that blends the charm of the past with a modern, timeless feel.

Our work focuses on redesigning the first-floor amenities and residential hallways to make them both more functional and appealing. We relocated the front desk to improve circulation, thus making the flow of the building smoother and more efficient.

The elevator lobby has been redesigned to create a welcoming first impression, while the mail room, offices, and conference room are being reconfigured to better serve the residents’ needs. Our team is revamping the gym to offer not only a more comfortable but also practical workout space.

Our commercial designers made every choice with one thing in mind: improving the daily lives of the people who call Ocean Summit home. For example, we’ve reimagined spaces that were underused, making the most of every square foot and ensuring the building works better for its residents.

Our goal is to create a beachside living experience that still respects the building’s legacy, blending Mid-Century Modern architecture with a fresh, coastal-inspired design.
