Hello DKORistas! We’ve been doing a lot of furniture shopping in the past several weeks, at the Miami Design District, as we inch closer to the big reveal moment on a couple of exciting projects. But before we hit our favorite furniture stores, there’s a bunch of prep work we have to do.

First comes the design development, where we create a theme and aesthetic for the project. Then we can begin to pick out furniture and lighting options to present to our clients. Sometimes the clients sign off right away, and other times it’s more of a back-and-forth process. But that just means more time spent scouring stores and sites for the right pieces—not a bad day at the office.

If you’re curious about how the interior design process works,
check out these quick videos to learn all about it.

Right now, we’re currently in the furniture selection phase on a couple of projects that will be completed by the end of the year (yay): a contemporary oceanfront dream home and an eclectic Bal Harbour condo.

While we love to shop online, there’s nothing quite like seeing, touching, and sitting on furniture in real life. No one wants to sit a beautiful chair every day if it’s harder than a rock, right?! One of our favorite spots to find amazing furniture and accessories for our interior design projects is the Miami Design District. There we find top design brands showrooms including the high end furniture Italian brands we love to work with. If you’re venturing out there, be sure to stop by our three favorites furniture showrooms:
